About NMC
Since decades, the NMC is the main congress of the Koninklijk Wiskundig Genootschap (KWG, Royal Dutch Mathematical Society). Since 2018, NMC is organised in an attractive two-day format, by KWG, in cooperation with Platform Mathematics Netherlands (PWN) and the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO).
About KWG
The Dutch Royal Mathematical Society, the Koninlijk Wiskundig Genootschap, founded in 1778 serves as the professional organization of all Dutch-speaking individuals whose activities are somehow related to mathematics. The Society organizes a variety of conferences and symposia focused at different groups of mathematicians. It also publishes the Nieuw Archief voor Wiskunde, a quarterly for all of its members with a famous problem section, Pythagoras, a magazine for high school students, and Indagationes Mathematicae, a quarterly research journal.
About PWN
Platform Wiskunde Nederland (PWN) is a Dutch platform to improve the position and visibility of mathematics in the Netherlands. It was founded by the KWG and the Nederlandse Vereniging van Wiskundeleraren (Dutch Association of Mathematics Teachers, NVvW). The platform aims to strengthen the financial, administrative, scientific and societal position of mathematics in the Netherlands, as well as the coherent and effective use of resources for mathematics research and mathematics education, both scientifically and societally.
